Vinyl-cut graphics require artwork in vector format. The accepted file formats are:

• AI — Adobe Illustrator
• EPS — Encapsulated PostScript
• SVG — Scalable Vector Graphic
• PDF — Portable Document Format (vector-based, not a scanned or exported image)

Vector files are built from mathematically defined paths rather than pixels. This means they can be scaled to any size without losing quality — which is essential for vinyl cutting, where the cutter follows a precise path to produce clean, sharp edges.

Raster files are not accepted for vinyl-cut graphics. You will need to supply a vector file before your order can proceed.

If your logo was created by a graphic designer, they will have the original vector file — ask them for the AI, EPS, SVG, or vector PDF. If your logo was made in Canva or a similar browser-based tool, it may only exist as a PNG. In that case, a designer can recreate it as a vector for you, or contact us at hello@signeesigns.com.au and we can advise.

Signee® vinyl-cut graphics require artwork in vector format. Files submitted in raster formats (JPG, PNG, GIF) cannot be used as supplied. In the event a raster file is uploaded in error, we will attempt an auto-trace conversion — however Signee® cannot guarantee output quality for converted raster artwork, and trace quality varies significantly with source file resolution and logo complexity. To ensure the best result, please submit your logo in vector format as an AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF.

The easiest check is the file extension — if it ends in .ai, .eps, .svg, or .pdf it’s likely a vector. A quick visual test: zoom in to 400% or more in any image viewer. If the edges stay sharp, it’s a vector. If they become pixelated or blurry, it’s a raster file.

If you received your logo from a graphic designer, they will have the original vector file. If your logo was created in Canva or a similar browser-based tool, it may only be available as a PNG — in which case contact us before ordering.

Ask your designer for the original working file in AI or EPS format, or an SVG or vector PDF export. Any professional graphic designer will have this. If your logo was created as part of a brand identity project, the vector files should have been delivered as part of that package — check your original files or email the designer directly.

Vinyl-cut graphics are single-colour — the vinyl is one solid colour and the cutter follows the outline of your artwork. This means:

• Gradients, drop shadows, and multi-colour logos cannot be reproduced as vinyl-cut graphics
• Your artwork should be submitted as a single solid colour, or as separate layers if you want multiple colours cut and applied individually
• The vinyl colour is selected at checkout — submit your artwork in black or any single colour for reference

If your logo is multi-colour and you’d like to discuss your options, contact us before placing your order.

Your artwork must be submitted at 100% of the intended output size — that is, the actual size you want it to appear on the sign face. This is important because the mock-up generator uses the dimensions of the uploaded file as a reference to size and position the artwork on the sign.

Vector files are built from mathematically defined paths and are resolution-independent, so a correctly-sized vector will reproduce at any scale without loss of quality. Ensure your artboard or document size in your design software is set to the actual finished size before exporting.
